The Kavli Institute for Brain Science (KIBS) at Columbia University is honored to host a gathering of Kavli Institutes for an inaugural symposium, May 18–20, 2026.
The goal of this gathering is two-fold: to share the latest high-impact research and to foster the personal and professional connections that drive scientific innovation. We are excited to facilitate a vibrant dialogue between people, ideas, and our Kavli counterpart institutes.
With the intention of cultivating new researchers in the field of neuroscience, the Kavli Symposium will provide a platform for graduate students and early-career postdoctoral fellows to present research that furthers our collective understanding of neural systems from the modeling of synapses, to systems-level investigations of circuits, and emergent behaviors. Beyond the exchange of technical insights and innovative methodologies, this event is designed to cultivate enduring professional networks among emerging scholars at the vanguard of the field.
We look forward to three days of rigorous intellectual exchange and the strengthening of ties between our counterpart Kavli Institutes.
